Black Irish button, 1988 Three Gaited Saddlebred World’s Grand Champion.  Black Irish 69078 was a 12 yo.  bay gelding by CH Stonewall’s Crescendo 44737 X Remembrance 63340.

This is a fun piece of memorabilia from the 1988 Saddlebred World’s Grand Championships. I think they had plastic cups produced for the aisle party afterwards too.  Over the years several owners have produced buttons promoting their Stake night contenders.

I also have an RPM button from the year Willie “Jack Rabbit” Bottoms won the Road Horse Championship with RPM for owner Mary Glenn Martin. If I remember correctly the horse was sold by the time the Stake night class was held.

These are great items for collectors to watch out for as they represent exciting moments in modern Saddle Horse history.
