Robert E. Lee’s Traveller-Civil War Era Saddlebred!

Robert E. Lee’s gallant mount was an early day American Saddle Horse. This old unused  linen postcard makes a great addition to anyone’s Saddlebred collection. Very good condition, front is great, reverse has two glue marks at top corners. Clean & unused-has not been written on nor posted.  $6.00

Historic Saddle: Al Brown, Dodge Stables & Dixiana

Saddlebred trainer Al Brown‘s straight head saddle, circa 1930’s-40’s.  Known as “the best colt man in the US”, Brown worked at renowned Dodge Stables & Dixiana Farm, & is the man who started My My racking.   It it not known for certain whether he rode her with this saddle, however he was using this saddle at the time. Frank Bradshaw’s Lamp:for reference only

This photo shows an old painted cast iron Saddlebred lamp from my personal collection. I do not know the age but here is the story of this treasure. From 1991-1992 my late husband Bruce Jones, a third generation Saddlebred trainer, was an assistant to Frank Bradshaw.
